“For Those About to Rock…🎶”…& 3i Atlas

ree

I went to see AC/DC the other night in Brisbane, Australia. The iconic heavy rock band that Australians love to claim as their own. It has been 44 years since I last saw them at their return ‘Hell’s Bells’ concert at Sydney Showground in 1981, that was so loud, all bands were banned after this at this outdoor venue …which was pretty cool for a 16-year-old to be a part of.

This 1981 concert, supported by another favourite band of mine at the time, The Angels, was a pivotal moment in my life where I learnt I could cathart my emotions, particularly anger and rage, through ‘head-banging’, and screaming at the top of my lungs within a safe and like-minded (or like-felt) communal societally sanctioned setting.

I did not originally feel to go to this 2025 concert, as these rockers, though still brilliant musicians, are in their 70’s, and as I too am aging, am really more than happy to stay at home with a cup of tea instead.

Something, though, compelled me to say ‘yes’.( …Oh, and the fact that I was offered a free ticket may have helped😀.) The thought of even going to the concert made me feel tired. Then we had to drive 2 hours, then catch a bus, then walk. But this feeling I somehow needed to do this, edged me on to at least see why.

It finally dawned on me that this band is all about Energy. Huge Energy. And I am in the middle of a course run by a gentleman who runs a business called Lee Harris Energy. I know I am a bit slow getting things at times, but really!? I mean, the band's name is AC/DC for crikey’s sake!! And then I get to the venue and read the black merch T-shirts everyone is wearing with the tour slogan…’The POWER UP Tour’ or the ‘PWR UP’ tour to be even cooler. Hello!

What I soon began to realise, and what was so lovely to be a part of, was the huge cross-section of all ages coming together to share this experience. They were all incredibly civil, polite, respectful, and all there just to have some fun…and scream and dance out some energy, possibly wanting release. Security was understandably heightened due to the recent tragic events at one of our famous beaches down south, but even the police soon chilled with the atmosphere of people just wanting to have some fun. (...and probably because most had been releasing much tension by head-banging and screaming rock songs for 40 or so years…just like me…so we were all pretty chilled by now).

Catharting the natural human energies of rage and anger can be done with such civility, joy and grace if only allowed, supported and channelled wisely and creatively within the community structure.

Soon, as my body was beautifully pounded with sounds, a spectacular light show, and vibrations I had forgotten existed, and with the energy resonating up from the ground I stood on, I began to surrender to that glorious primal beating of amplified drums and shredding of guitars, and found myself dancing and grooving way better than I did in 1981. I restrained myself from too much head-banging though, as my neck was starting to feel a little sore from all this unfamiliar movement,... and I didn't want my earplugs to fall out😂. My voice today is happily sore and struggling, after singing/yelling lyrics I never bothered to learn properly, as this didn't even matter as they were lost amongst the overarching beautiful noise of everyone's voices combined.

The icing on this night’s ‘Rock Cake’ was, as I was driving home, my alarm went off at 3 am to remind me to wake up and ‘say hello’ to 3i Atlas that was passing closest to the Earth at this exact time and date over the Eastern horizon. I was pleasantly amused at the wonderful synchronicity and serendipity that an interstellar Rock that has been travelling for millions or more years, happened to be passing by, and many say, bringing ancient remembrance and love light Energy as a gift to us at this moment to help in our evolution and well earned ascension, …and whist I was happily getting Energised at a Power UP Rock Concert.

Very Cool, and Very Rock & Roll.

🤘...We Salute You! 🤘

Cheers
